The Mount Washington Cog Railway opened for public on 29th August, 1869 and making it the world’s 1st mountain-climbing rack railway. The Mount Washington Cog Railway is recognized as the world’s first mountain-climbing cog railway. This railway is still in operation and it is climbing Mount Washington in New Hampshire, USA.
